There are only 15 possible codes according to other forums..
CODE 1: MODE SOUND OPEN ATT
CODE 2: ENTER OPEN meNU 6
CODE 3: OPEN DISC+ 1 LIST
CODE 4: SEEK- SEEK+ 3 OPEN
CODE 5: OFF 4 OPEN SOURCE
CODE 6: 2 OPEN DSPL SOUND
CODE 7: OPEN 5 ATT SEEK+
CODE 8: DISC- DSPL OFF OPEN
CODE 9: SEEK+ SOUND OPEN ENTER
CODE 10: DISC- LIST SEEK- OPEN
CODE 11: OPEN 4 LIST OFF

CODE 13: MENU 2 MODE OPEN

Hey, the codes for this type of radio are different depending on what configuration it is. If you look on the back through the grating you can see 3 small soldered connections through a gap. These are labelled Tp1 Tp2 Tp3. Depending on the setup of which are open and closed the code is different. I found mine on the web with a full list of these combinations and codes.

I have exactly the same problem. In theory (acording to the yelow leaflet that Sony hand out) do the following:

1. Press the reset button (top left) ("Code in" appears)- this needs a paperclip to get in the narrow pin hole.

2. Push the following buttons on the card remote in this order:

Seek -
Seek +
Mode
Open/Close

3. If you do this the system should work -except it did not for me.
