I have a kenmore upright freezer and I just replaced the thermosat because I thought this was the problem why the fan in the freezer was running continoulsy. It is still running continously. model number 253.9244410

I have the same issue. I inheirited the freezer from my parents when they moved to HI. I think it's too old. We've had it for like 15+ years. R12 refrigerant, the front door has a dent on it from me going too far into the garage(but didn't damage it enough to make it "leak." With newer freezers, ozone friendly, and energy star compliant, I'm going to say goodbye old freezer, and hello new one...
