How do I get my grandfather clock to keep ticking?
My emperor grandfather clock (made from a kit - 1980's) will not tick more than 3 -4 times. We just moved, and it was working fine in the old house. I assume something happened in the move....
You may also need to re-route the chains over the wheels in the movement. They should nestle neatly down in the groove. If any link is above the edge it can bind, thus stopping the clock.

in the kit there should be instructions on how to setup clock , all floors are not level . there are adjustments on pendulum mount for uneven floors this could have been effected in the move if pendulum wasnt removed or taped up to stop movement.
