Do I have to buy another dvd player? I may never have a foreign dvd, so don't want to spend more money - suggestions? Toshiba D-VR5SU -

DVD-Rs are not Region Coded. (Unless you have copied a Region Coded DVD.) The probably reason is that it wasn't finalised on the machine that recoded it. The fix is to put it back in that machine and run 'Finalise'.
