replacing rear shock absorber on renault scenic?

my offside rear shock absorber has snapped on my R reg scenic. Is it easily replaced ?

how do you replace crossbar that holds rear shocks on 2001 senic mine totally corroded are they expensive ?

Best replaced with Borg Sacks shocks £82 pair at GSF european car parts. These are top quality shocks. Note you must only hand tighen bolts when vehicle is on jack. Only fully tighten bolts when vehicle is back on ground and it is advisable to settle shocks by rocking vehicle prior to tightening.

loosen the wheel nuts and jack up the car ( use axle stands if available ). remove the wheel, Use a 22mm socket to remove the lower bolt and a 22mm 12 point socket to remove the top bolt. push the old shock absorber off and push the new one in and replace the bolts.
ten minute job.
