Will it ever work again??

Hi , Im no good at techinal names so ill do my best to describe whats happened. The laptop (packard bell-model no. UNI-TRI-NT) is actually my crazy ex boyfriends, who said i could keep it when we broke up and is now demanding it back, anyway im paranoid that may have something to do with it, like he has egistered it stolen or something, people say they have trackers in thr laptops,(and he is crazy)basically ive been using it fine for months, yesterday i was using it putting some music on and talking to some friends on msn then i went out and left the laptop on by mistake, when i got home around and hour or 2 later the laptop was still on and had new messages showing up, i went to check them and moved the laptop on to the floor, within a blink of an eye the screen was black and the power was off, i tried to reboot it, and no joy, it wouldnt turn back on. and thats it really it just wont turn back on, ive tried all i can think of but no joy, the power on button just does nothing- the infuriation is too much to bear, so any help or ideas anyone has will be gratefullly recieved. thanks

yes :-) you will more that likely find that you ram card has had it... when you try to turn it one do the three lights in top right light up an go out, if so you can get a new ram card i think abouts £30 from crucial

This happened to me and i flipped.. after a few scours online i discovered their is a fault as standard with this laptop battery.. all you need to do is unscrew the area where the fan is, pop out the battery and pop it back in..screw it back up and voila! it should work!x

can you borrow a different power supply or battery to try in the laptop, it could just be a break in the cable or something similar.
