Hifi repairs? Kenwood (can't see model number but can send a photo of it?)?

I recently had my stereo cleaned out,thinking the cd lens was dirty, But when I put a brand new,never used cd on it says 'no cd' Can you help?

My Kenwood DP990D player has stopped reading CDs. Also, when you power on, the front switches do not respond. Please advise.
