fitting an architrave switch?

I intend to install a kitchen Larder unit (6 ft height approx), which will cover my existing kitchen light switch. Can I move my switch onto the door architrave (using an architrave switch)? Are these wired in the same way as a conventional light switch?

Kitchen wiring should ONLY be carried out by a part P approved Electrician !. Any advice to the contrary should be removed from the equasion.

Exactly the same, but make sure you get the correct type of switch, 1way or 2 way ( you can use a 2 way as a 1 way)
