HOW CAN I FIX KENWOOD CHEF 701A?

Hi I have a Kenwood Chef 701A all's ok 'cept under load i.e. if you try to mix a thick mixture, then depending on how thick the mixture blade turns slower and slower, drive belts OK, any one any ideas.
Thanks

My wife has asked me to have a look at her chef today she bought for £10 cos it has a similar problem except it happens even on speed 1. I beleive the common problem, may be, that the cover that is removed to fit the liquidiser' contains a plastic pushrod that drives the main bowl gearbox, and as it pushes a metal pin it tends to wear down over years. As i have only just looked into this i can't give a solution yet, but will when i can. would appreciate help if u find one first!!

I have the same problem. It is almost certainly a worn woodruff key in the gearbox. It is very easy to replace the key, but I haven't yet been able to get into the gearbox.
