How do i stop my BOSCH WFF 1401 from bypassing the programme?

After i have selected the programme on my BOSCH WFF 1401 washing machine and switch it on, it fills very slowly, even at 40 degress, trickling in from the hot water supply.
After it has filled, it starts to wash but then after two or three rotations, the dial clicks and it starts to fill, cuts the filling and then empties and flicks thorugh the cycle until it stops at the end?
This only happens from time to time, can anyone shed any light on this matter?

I have a feeling it may be that the water isn't at the right temperature so if the washer has an inbuilt thermostate then it messes up.

Thanks for your time guys and girls.

there are two pipes on the back of the machine. One red, connected to hot water, the other, blue connected to the cold water. There are 12 programmes on the WFF 1401 Machine of which the first four are written in red, these trickle fill when anything above 30 degrees. The next 4 in black and other 4 in green. They fill from the cold supply fast... It's just the red cotton wash programmes that tends to mess up and flick through the cycle within seconds after it has filled up. As i say, happens from time to time, but fairly regularly.
Thank you for your last responce.

Is there two fill pipes or just one. Most of the Bosch are cold fill only, and if you've got a cold fill only machine connected to hot water, this will cause all sorts of problems.
