Brandt Apollo A-Class Frost Free Freezer only partially working?

What is wrong with my mother's Brandt fridge/freezer........only top part of freezer actually freezes anything and that's after several hours? Bought it from Bennett's less than two years ago and up until two months ago it was working fine. Very disappointed.

this is a common fault and it is down to us overfilling the botton two drawers. Cool air is either meant to be sucked or blown from the vent at the bottom but we all seem to be blocking it. So it'll frost over and need manually defrosting. I have cut all the little fiddly plastic bars off the grill to speed up defrosting. I also think it has allowed me to use it longer between manual defrosts, even though I continue to overfill it.

Have the same problem on mine, at the back of the freezer behind a panel is the cooling matrix, on mine this is completely blocked with ice. The fan at the top is supposed to blow air past the matrix, unfortunately because it is blocked it can't. I think there is a heating element that is supposed to come on every so often to melt any ice built up, I suppose this is not working. You can take the panel off melt the ice, and you get another couple of months before it does the same again.

Would be interested to know the cause.

I have the same problem, meat in the top is frozen, but sausages and prawns in the middle and bottom and some at top are semi-soft? There is no contact number in the Brandt guide or anyway of contacting them?
