Potterton Puma 80 Boiler?

The pilot light on our boiler has gone out. We can get it to light again but it will not stay on. this has been going on since yesterday now. Any ideas before we call someone in? Thanks

my potterton boiler low pressure light is on even though the pressure is no longer low.. (the pressure was too low so I ajusted the gadge accordingly)..

Please help..

Be careful with British Gas engineers. They have a habit of writing off boilers that can be easily repaired. The yearly subscription offer is a rip off too..

also make sure your pressure is set at 1.5 bar or around..( not below 1/2 bar )

Thanks very much for that. Looks like a call out then. Will try British Gas. Ta

could be a few reasons why the pilot has gone out. possibly overheated, thermocouple worn, slow fan stopped?

to check these you will need to get inside the combustion cover but need to be corgi to do this, looks likely to be a call out but normally easily fixed. British Gas seem to have a lot of one off charge offers may be worth a shout.

when trying to light once flame is established ensyre you are holding the button in for minimum twenty seconds.
