how can I fix my PS2?

My PS2 was dropped off of a dresser, it turns on, and works but it will not read disks and says disc error read. Can someone help us figure out what to do? Thanks.

You could try this, but I would suggect that you are extremely careful and prepare for a complete write off of the system.
