my saw will not cut straight....rather it curves towards the left. i've sharpened both sides as evenly as i can (by hand). it was cutting just fine, then after cutting a 14 inch stump(very low to the ground), it started cutting bad. Did i do something to it(the bar does not appear to be bent or warped or damaged in any way) , or does my chain need grinding professionly?
The saw is a Stihl farmboss, and its always performed excellent.

I would definitely recommend taking your saw (or chain) in to a dealer, to get it professionally sharpened. Most dealers will have a bench-mounted grinder, and will be able to get your teeth sharpened evenly.

You might have the wrong gauge chain as well. Use a dial caliper to measure the thickness of your drivers on the chain and look at the bar towards the back and find out the gauge the bar takes. The wrong gauge will do it too.

I think the promlem is an unevenly worn bar.
One side of the surfaces on which the chain slides on is worn down more than the other.
Try flipping the bar over to get maximum life out of it.
