I need the threading instructions for a Brother Boutique 761?

My boss has asked that I try to figure out the problems he is having with a Brother Boutique 761 sewing machine. This is his late mother's machine and there is no book with the machine. I can not get the machine to sew correctly and want to know if I am threading the machine properly.

I have a Brother boutique 761 sewing machine that I have used for 35 years, excellent machine. I have the manual that goes with the machine. If you will send me your address, I will be glad to send you the threading instructions. My email address is mooneybm@yahoo.com. I am looking for a motor for my machine. Do you or your boss know where I could get one? Thanks

Hello Michele,
I do believe the Boutique 761 is the same as the M761, it just has a fancy name, you can check by going on to www.kenmoresewingmachines.com and scroll down to relics and find Brother 761, to thread the top of the machine, make sure the presser foot is in the up position so the tensions discs are open, from the spool pin bring the thread to the left and hook it into the thread guide above the needle bar more or less, bring the thread straight down through the tension discs and round the large guide and take the thread back up and thread it through the takeup lever right to left, make sure the takeup lever is in the up position otherwise you will pull the thread out of the needle once you have threaded it completely,
bring the thread back down through the cotton guides and thread the machine left to right, make sure the flat side of the needle is facing right, any problems left me know.
