The microwaves and being unplugged, because of no use for the past 3 months, what can I do?

Before you replace the panel, unplug the microwave, wait at least 30 seconds then plug it back in. If the panel is bad you will eventually get a message to set the clock, but you cannot do so because the panel is not responding. Wait, and the microwave will beep several times then again display F3 and the panel will still not respond.

You must replace the touch pad control panel.
Check model number, do search on internet for GE parts and input the model number, then look for the part.
