Is the flow switch known as a water throttle or flow sensor?

Hi, my Britony Combi 80 has no hot water from the taps, but CH is no problem! I have seen that it has been dignosed as the flow switch, but the suppliers don't know what I'm talking about? They seem to think it is a Water Throttle and another thinks it is a Flow sensor! ANy ideas?
