How can I fix my Dyson DC 05?

How do I dismantle the machine? The power connection inside the machine has become loose, resulting in intermitant operation. I need to dismantle the machine and tighten the connection.

With 2hrs work and some patience, I have fixed my Dyson DC 05.
You will need a Torx screwdriver (small), a small electrical screwdriver and a pair of needle nosed pliers.
The key to getting the machine apart are the 5 Torx screws - 1 in the centre easily visible, and 2 on each side hidden by the wheels.
Once all the removable parts are off ; the cyclone, the cyclone cover (prizes off) and the lower hose holder (3 clips to prize off in the lower dish with the small electrical screwdriver), then the screws can be tackled.
The wheels can be pushed over to reveal the 2 screws beneath on each side.
Once all 5 screws are out, the 2 halves can be separted to reveal the cable rewind, the on/off switch, and the motor. At this point I checked and tightened the connections.
The correct orientation of the cable rewind took some thought, and the needle nosed pliers were needed to put the screws back behind the wheels.
All the other external bits were put back on, and eureka it worked.
I now have great admiration for the engineers who designed and built the Dyson
