how do i wire a pull switch light in bAthroom?

i want to wire a pull swith light but when removing the old one there are two red wire and no black or earth wire.one was wired in the live and the other was in the c.is it ok to wire the same way as i have a crome end on the string.

hi,the two wires which are both red,should be connected as follows,one should go in the terminal marked c or common,and the other in the L1 or L2 terminal,if there is no earth wire this is ok as the switch is all plastic,however this would not be the case if metal fittings were used,but dont worry about thing on end of string,hope this helps!!
