Hey Matth, Slight solution to your problem. A little known piece of legislation covers you with a manufacturers 3 year warranty on all electrical items. This means that if the store where you purchased the TV from cannot fix the set and have no solutions to fixing it (for free) and the TV is still under 3 years old the manufacturer is legally obliged to fix it at no cost or else replace it for you. No being a lawyer I am sure that there are some technical terms for all of this, I just don't know them. Check it all out for yourself but I certainly would not be paying out without some serious investigations going on because as all my friends would testify I do not spend money unless all else fails.
