rear scart sockets?

I have a 2 year old sanyo 28ins wide screen tv, the problem is that the scart sockets at the rear are playing up, sometimes I lose sound, colour etc, when inserted the scart leads seem to be a bit loose, obviously the connection is the problem, is there anyway I can resolve this with out to much expense, or indeed can I. We had a portable and the same problems arose, eventually we had to get rid of it as the scart at the rear just did not work at all, Many thanks.

First check that the pins haven't been pushed back into the plug, very common.

Best though, if you haven't already is to purchase the new type of scart lead which has a modified prominent lugs in the metal shroud. Commonly refered to as clipper scart or positive locking scart.

Otherwise the scart socket connections are probably just dry jointed and require resoldering.
