can not get my back lights to work on van as well as the dash board ones ,indecators work but no other lights do .front lights are fine

same has happened to me , my side/tail and marker lights stopped working , fuses are fine called my breakdown cover and he said prob the light switch stork on steering column or a relay. Going to attempt to unscrew the steering column cover and check the relevant connections are good before buying a stork ( a garage quoted me about £100.00 to fix!), they sell the parts on ebay and breakersyards.
