what could be causing my transmissin to slip in out of gear sometimes,but not all the time ?

Have you checked the oil level?
check with the engine running in park,should be at minimum level when cold,but wont hurt if its overfilled slightly.
When does the problem occur when its hot,cold,going round a corner?
