woke up this morn and my phone had "insert SIM card" written on the screen... i hadn't touched it. i turned it off & took sim out, then replaced it and turned phone back on. it still has the same message, but now the screen is blank (apart from "insert sim card") and i can't access anything.

This happened to me once.. I had to get a new sim from T-mobile... (my service provider)
Its not the phone its the sim card,
