I recently had a worm on my PC, the file containing the worm was deleted and now when I turn my computer on, all I get is a blank screen and a mouse pointer. How do I get my computer to come up so I can use my quick restore disk?
I have an e-machine running windows XP home edition

You could try starting in safe mode (Press the F8 key intermittently during boot up to get to an options for startup screen. select start in safe mode or safe mode with internet)
