I am trying to take the drum out of the plastic basket, but I am having no luck. I removed the agitator and everything else up to and including the spanner nut. However, at this point I thought the tub would pull right out but it won't. When I try to seperate them by pulling up on the drum the whole basket and drum pulls up about an inch at which point everything attached is trying to come with it. That includes all attached components o the bottom(transmission, engine etc.). Obviously I must be missing something. Any ideas? Thanks.

if you have undid the spanner nut there isn't anything else. But if the comb filter is corroned it can be stuck. The comb fliter is the fine screen you see thru the hole.I can't think of any thing else but I haven't pulled one in months.
