How do I thread the bobbin on 1950-52 Elna Supermatic?

After dropping the bobbin in,I cannot figure out the right way to
place the 'tail' thread...the needle will bring a loop up even if I do nothing with bobbin thread, but messes up after sewing for a very short time. Every way I've tried either gobs up the thread around bobbin,or I end up with a 'new' (unsolicited)
stitch style. (it will zizgzag on the bottom but do an herringbone looking thing on top though the only cam I have is
straight/zigzag) I heartily appreciate any and all input that will
help mitigate my...resilient ignorance concerning this matter.

hello,this is Kathy
I figured it out this morning;what a help a night's rest can be.
It is zigging and zagging just fine now.
Thanks to Ken for rapid response, though, appreciate your kindness.

Hello Kathy,
The correct way to put the bobbin in the bobbin case is to hold the bobbin case in your left hand with the finger to the top and the open part facing you, with the bobbin in your right hand
the thread should be on top of the bobbin facing right, pop the bobbin in the bobbin case, put the thread through the spring and there you are.
If you have a drop in bobbin, the thread should be on the bottom of the bobbin, drop the bobbin in, feed the thread through the slot and then across the bobbin case to the right.
If the stitches are not coming out right it sounds like a tension problem, make sure when you thread the machine that the[resser foot is up so the thread goes inbetween the tension discs, the tension should be set about 4 or 5, any problems send me an e-mail.
Ken
