How do you check gearbox oil in 1996 ford transit van?

We need to check the oil in the gearbox of above vehicle and are unsure where to locate the opening

On the side of the gearbox you will find an hexplug, undo it and fill untill the oil baks up and comes out, still a bit primative for todays tech.
