Kenmore Ultra-Stitch 6 Problems!?

My machine keeps getting jammed by a bunch of threads coming up from the bottom. I've threaded and re-threaded both top and bobbin and adjusted both top and bottom tensions higher and lower and still the problem persists! If you have any suggestions for me I would greatly appreciate it! I'm working on a baby gift and time is precious!

Make sure you're using the correct bobbin (6862), the one with 7 holes, I've had trouble with ones with more holes.

Hello Sarah,
Ity certainly sounds like tension problems but go through these systematically to make sure you have not missed anything,
when you thread the machine make sure the presser foot is up so the thread goes completely between the tension discs, if you have put a new needle in make sure you have it in the correct way round, top tension should be anywhere between 4 and 6, make sure you have the bobbin in the bobbin case the correct way round, it does make a vast difference, with the tension on the bobbin you should just be able to pull the thread through with some resistence, it should not pull through too freely, make sure there is no damage on the spring of the bobbin case such as being hit with the needle, take a fine hand needle and put it under the bobbin case spring and move it towards the opening just in case you have any fluff caught in it that you can't see, very common fault because it leaves the spring open too much, give it a try, any problems get back to me,
Ken
