How do I change the lock on my french doors?

I want to replace the 2 europrofile locks on my french doors. I have changed 1 as the retaining screw is visible. The second door the retaining screw is behind the overlap between the 2 doors. The locking system is top and bottom on this door. It would appear that I need to remove this over Lap but do not know how.

Hi Tony, your quite right the meeting rail does need to taken off, I imagine that no fixings/ cover caps are visible, else you would have tried them, so unfortunately i presume the rail is screwed to the sash from inside the glazing chamber. this requires the glass to be taken out. i hope this helps, Dave w
