my gear stick seems to be stiff, and difficult to move?
I'm noticing that my gear stick is difficult to move. Is this serious i.e. should i stop driving it till i can get a mechanic to sort it?Vauxhall Vectra 1.8 Diesel
Only when engine running? If so likely clutch wear or adjustment to cable length needed. Does clutch pedal feel normal/go fully to bottom? If not, likely same. What's the mileage? if high mileage likely clutch wear. Been through floodwater? clutch plate contamination. if clutch OK then poss gear selector or linkage, especially if not all gears affected
