How to repair the unit?

Just today I discovered the same problem. The system worked perfectly yesterday when I was listening to a CD. Today I attempted to turn on the system and was surprised to see it turn on just long enough to display "F61" before turning back off.

I've owned this system for four years with light use and have never had difficulty previously. What do I have to do to fix the unit?

Apologies, the unit is the PANASONIC SA-HT640 5 disc CD/DVD player. I'd intended to append this question onto another individual who was suffering the same problem, but... ya.
