I've just inherited a Diplomat dishwasher but no manual. I set it running and it gets part way through the cycle then stops. There's an LCD screen that reads E3 but I have no idea what it's referring to. Also there's a stinking pool of water in the filter and in the salt compartment is perminently full of water is this normal? It's my first dishwasher.

I've just got the same message. It means "the dishwasher is unable to heat the washing water correctly. Call the after-sales service". I have just called them and all they could say was that they could arrange an engineer (£90 call-out, plus parts). I think it's cheaper to buy a new one!
