it is my late mother's i have no manual. it has 2 batteries. one in the back and one in the bottom.. and a 4 ball pendulum

My Mom has bought a used quartz Elgin Aniversary clock. Runs fine but globes stop after awhile. Small peince of plastic at top of globe shaft that has no knob and doesn't move. Have anything to do with globes? See no compartment for battery for running globe. Help.
