Potterton Profile 80e not igniting?

My Potterton goes in to the start cycle, the fan whirrs and blows air out of the flue. After 3 seconds it stops then starts the process again after a couple of seconds. Eventually between 10 and 50 cycles it fires up. Any ideas would be appreciated as it now seems to take longer to ignite, and I feel a cold house looming!

common fault if the fan is cycling is the pcb

Thanks for your response. I will get out the yellow pages. If it were the fan or igniter I could do myself but the pcb I dont think I want to touch.

Sounds like it could need a service, also check the auto ignighter
