Hello
I have an Aeg 66680 .it displays me error e40 but the door is closed .what should i do ?or what problem could be?

My machine is AEG 74630W, so far the door interlock has been replaced and we also tried cleaning the outlet filter, neither of these have worked. So any further suggestions would be welcome, before I concede defeat and call out an engineer, after first taking out a second mortgage to pay them.

Hi,

Code E40 is door not closed, could be a mis-aligned door or faulty door switch.

Try cleaning outlet filter located at base on RHS a rubber drain hose is fitted to ours be aware water will still come out when you remove filter. Also look for further restrictions on drain side of washing machine look for non return valve fitted to some undersink applications.
