how can i fix my shower?

The socket i use to switch on my shower is not working. The red l.e.d was flickering for a while then just gave up it must be a fuse but i dont know how to go about changing it or where to get a new one.

The fuse for this switch will be in the consumer unit which is located near to your electricity meter. Just remove the fuse look at the carrier it should say either 30amp or just above.
You will need some fuse wire of the same rating. It is just a case of removing the debris and left over fuse wire on the carrier before you fit the new strand.
If it is an MCB just press the reset switch.

Unless you are fully able to carry this work out yourself then please do if you have any doubts call a qualified electrician.
If the switch is the cause and not a blown fuse or a tripped MCB then the job of replacing this is straightforward just so long as you pay attention to where the wires are fitted inside the socket.
These switches are not usually cheap.
Just make sure that all power is off before you attempt to remove this switch.
The bulb blowing will not stop the switch from working but then again you would not know if the shower was off or on.
