we have a jvc gr-dx107ek and I really annoyed as when you record anything the picture is kind of staggered and the sound is intermitant, I thought it might be the tapes, as it only happened every now and then but I have put a brand new tape in and it does it all the time! Also when you switch it on the zoom automatically zooms! which is useless, this happen on a once in a lifetime trip and videoing my kids school plays which I will never get back! can anyone help me at all please??

I had exactly the same problem, had a Jessops insurance so sent it for repair, 8 weeks later they returned it with new zoom unit. 4 tapes later it is doing the same thing and the viewfinder gives distorted picture. So it is still under Jessops warrenty and it goes back to repair again. Will report on progress. John
