Your Epson C46 may have decided the waste ink pads need to be cleaned and the protection counter reset. The printer will usually produce alternating power and paper feed lights flashing on the top and give a screen message stating the it needs to be serviced. It is also possible that the main board has given up producing the same light sequence.
