I contacted my local Radio Shack and the manager solved my problem. He told me to program my cable channels using my VCR. Using you VCR's remote control go to Menu/Action, which ever your's says, and go to Channel Programing. Make sure the VCR's menu is on the Cable setting and not the Air setting. You will know have to turn your channels using the VCR's remote control. This should solve your problem, if not call your local Radio Shack for detailed instructions.
