My Bissell Quick Steamer Model 1970 will not hold the solution, when you put the bottle in (upside down) it leaks out, right away, can this be fixed? I have made sure that the solution bottle is put in properly.

I have the same problem. One thing that helps is if you turn the dial to "water only" until you are ready to start steaming. When it is sitting there still, it will dump out, but when it is turned on, it begins to mix with the water and it seems to hold it in place. If leaving your machine sit for any period of time, you are supposed to turn dial to "water only" (not high traffic/normal traffic). This closes off the valve to the soap entirely. Hope this helps!!
