Weedeater starter cord???

I pulled the cord out of my gas weedeater and I need to know how to fix it. Help please!

how to fix a lawn mower cord the cord came completely out and how do i put it back the lawn mower do i need a new one.

take out about 3 and a half feet of string and devide in half take the end and find the middle. Put this on the middle spot where you can hook the string. Start turning the spool in a clockwise direction until you get to about 5 inches left and hook into the notches. Ther shoud be a cover that you took off to get to this spool. Now is the time to put cover on and line up string with slots on that. and unhook off the spool and pop cover on. And should be correct. I just tried for the first time a few minutes ago. And go GIRL POWER. It worked the first time for me. Hopefully you have as good of luck as I had.

Take the starter assembly off the weedeter. Usually 4 screws. Using your hand, wind the plastic circular disk until the spring is tight. Line up the outer hole with the one on the plastic disk. Feed in the new cord and tie a square not. Pull cord out until knot is against plastic. Release the cord holder and it will wind the cord.
