i have IBM thinkpad 600X laptop, it has error coded 8611?

MY laptop does diplay the error 8611 every time when am switching it on, is there any body knowing what is the matter?

I had the same problem with my 600x... I replaced the sub card and now it works flawlessly!

Error code 8611 on IBM thinkpad 600x laptop is System bus error-I/F. As explained in www.lenovo.com. It could be any of these in this order:
1. Reseat the keyboard cable on the sub card
2. Keyboard
3. External mouse
4. Sub card
5. Systen board
