i have no sound on my pc???

we replaced our monitor and now have no sound on our pc....we have a dell dimension 8300, it has a 4 speaker altec lansing system, and the new monitor is a view sonic...how do i get my sound back??

Run Add New Hardware in Control Panel, when prompted insert the supplied Viewsonic driver CDROM.

There should have been a cd with the monitor in the box this will have the drivers on.

Try finding some drivers for your monitor. Install them and it should be working again.
