How can I fix my washing machine? Maytag Atlantis, model MAV7600AWW, it will go through all cycles just fine, BUT IT WILL NOT SPIN??????? CAN SOMEONE HELP ME????????

my maytag atlantis goes through a normal wash , but comes to the spin cycle and does nothing. its hard having four children and being a single parent with full time job,not having a washer, can you please help? thanks.

Oh yea. Also be sure to clean both grooves because one side seemed to be stuck all the way forward and stayed. Like i said, you move the motor back and forthe to make it move freely in both grooves and it should solve your no spin problem by keeping proper tenison on the belt.

You will need to pull the washer out from the wall and tilt it back so you can access the bottom, carefull not to scratch the floor. The motor on this washer uses springs to tension the belt on the pullys. Remove the belt. No tools needed. Pull and push the motor forward and backwards and clean out the grooves so the motor moves freely in the grooves it slides on. Spray some silicon spray, armor all or whatever to make it slide back and forth freely. Clean out all the gook, rust, dirt, etc. Now the belt shoud be tensioned enough not to slip.
