detergent dispenser broken on siemens dishwasher - help?

basically the lid on the detergent dispenser wont work - there is a spring mechanim but it wont activate - all ideas welcome!

SE53500/07 is a number on the machine - i'm not sure if this is a model no. or not

THe dispenser is sealed so it has to be changed. But can be other reason for not opening. Is it going through ful cycle. If it is getting stuck on wash and not heating the you could have a module fault.
