Simpson Esprit 750 won't spin?

My Simpson Esprit 750 won't spin, it washes the clothes (not sure if it agitates) it goes through all the cycles, but when it is supposed to be spin drying the clothes it just clicks through the cycle without spinning the drum. It pumps water out, it rinses, it does everything but spin the clothes dry. I can't see or smell anything burned electrically. The belt is fine everythnig on the machine looks brand new, it is about four years old, but it looks brand new.
Any ideas?

Hi,

I rang a local appliance technician who told me the three most common things that will stop them spinning in order that you should check them. He also talked me through it.

1. The Capacitor (the little white cylinder)

2. The Reversal Modulator (the little white sealed box)

3. Circuit Board problems.

It turns out it was the first thing he would have checked and something I missed. I was told the capacitors frequently burn out. I checked the electrical contacts to the capacitor and noticed that the solder had burned off.

He sold me the new capacitor for AUD$30.00 which I fitted and problem solved.
