Kenmore series 90 washing machine will not spin?

do i need to take off back panel and if so how(need detailed instructions). can hear noise but will not spin.

depending on the noise you can here - most common reason for machines to do wash cycle but not spin is worn motor brushes. These are replaceable and you should be able to pick them up fairly easily, good luck
