Intermittent problem with Ferroli Optima 901 Combi Boiler?

Our boiler supplies piping hot water in 'hot water' mode and heats the radiators in 'hot water + heating' BUT invariably does not give hot water or just luke warm when the central heating kicks in.

Anyone any ideas?

Sorry, I confused the question..

What i meant was that there is no hot water when on the 'heating and hot water' mode EVEN when the rads aren't heating (or are hot).

It's almost like the hot water function is not working in this mode - the burner doesn't kick in when the hot tap is turned on but does when the rads come on.

But it gives hot water 100% of the time when in 'hot water only'

Cheers

With a combi, you get heating OR hot water seperately, hot water is always priority, for example while you run a bath, your rads will cool slightly as water from heating circuit is diverted over heat exchanger, once hot water /tap is stopped boiler will resume heating rads. This is not a fault,it's just how they work.
