Kenmore 80 Series

The spin cycle has stopped working. How do I repair it?
Also, how do I dis-assemble the machine to repair the faulty part?

if it does everything else then it is most definatley the brushes. the motor can be found at the bottom of the machine tilt it forward remove the brushes found either side of the motor and replace. the brushes are about £30 to have a so called engineer to fit and supply will be about £70 for ten minutes work

If it washes ok and it just doesn't spin I would look into the lid switch. This is especially true if the washer does nothing as far as motor movement when machine goes into the spin mode.

Oh yeah...dissasembly...Two screws in each end of the control panel... Could be hidden behind plastic moldings..Just pop them off. Once those are removed flip control panel back and you can unplug the lid switch right there to test it.
